The restaurant, a collaborative family project, was established in 2001. Named after friend GraziaLolliRedini, from the Tuscan village of San Gimignano, the restaurant serves contemporary Italian & French influenced food. |
'The name was chosen because we wanted diners to perceive us as being unique and that our approach would also be mostly Italian influenced’ says Simonn. The restaurant has come to be regarded as a local dining institution and attracts a following of city weekenders & locals alike. Lollis has been duly recognised by winning seven consecutive SMH chefs hats since opening & a succession of Restaurant & Caterers Assoc. awards as well as being featured in numerous lifestyle & cooking magazines.
Located in Orange's foody precinct, Lollis, as she is fondly refered to, is side by side with Hawkes General Store, a home and giftware store that is run by Simonn's sister Coco & has been in the family since 1976. |
